5 months ago, almost to this day, The Student Investor was born. Did I ever imagine that, five months down the line, it would have been read by 5,000 people worldwide? Could I have possibly predicted that students and adults alike from 55 different countries would have read the blog? Or that it would have a constantly growing follower base (in regard to email-subscribers and LinkedIn followers), that currently amounts to roughly 100 permanent subscribers? The honest answer is no, I couldn´t. I didn´t. I expected it to be yet another project that started out with lots of hope and promise, but one that finished with no end product – a bit like Freddy Adu, Adnan Januzaj and Ravel Morrison (if you´re a football nerd like me, you´ll get the reference).
Yet, reflecting on the last few months, as delighted as I am with these statistics, I know that there is still room for growth, improvement and development. I want The Student Investor to have a wider, regular following, and even more readers. I´d like to post articles more frequently that help to inspire others, and to collaborate with more writers and renowned financial leaders. The goals for 2020 are clear. With your help and support, they are certainly achievable.
Before signing off for what will be the last post of 2019, I wanted to take the time to thank you all for your continued support. Whether it be the regular few people who are first to read a new post, the WordPress users in Turkey, Martinique, Pakistan and Zimbabwe who always seem to like my articles, or even if you´ve read the blog once, every click means the world to me. Together, I hope that we´ll be able to continue inspiring students around the globe, and educating them about the financial world.
Wishing you all a very happy holiday season. Enjoy the festivities with only happiness, good health, and wise investment decisions for the year ahead!
Happy New Year,
